Since 2012, Bosch has been a partner and name-giver of the Bosch Hockenheim Historic with its classic division Bosch Classic, which has developed into an annual highlight for all friends of historic motorsport. Bosch was already committed to the race track when the Hockenheimring opened in 1932. For example, the finish curve at the time was called the Bosch curve. Bosch is continuing this tradition with its support of the Bosch Hockenheim Historic.

The history of the automobile is closely linked to the history of Bosch, and since its foundation in 1886 Bosch has influenced the development of the automobile with many innovations. Under the guiding principle of “The future needs heritage,” Bosch Classic is committed to preserving historic vehicles. The central task of the Classic division is to supply spare parts for classic vehicles. In addition to Bosch Classic, Bosch Motorsport also supports the event at the Hockenheimring. As part of Bosch Engineering GmbH, the division develops complete systems, motorsport electronics and components to make teams and drivers even more successful – since the very first days of motorsport.
