Touring car racing with cars from the late 80s is becoming more and more popular. And so we are happy to announce that the diverse cars from the racing series at the time and their charismatic drivers – who are today celebrated like stars at racing tracks everywhere – are making a comeback at the Hockenheimring. As part of the Bosch Hockenheim Historic, visitors can look forward to the “Touring Car Classics”, which has been around since 2015. The racing cars from the series originate from the so-called Golden Era of motorsport and include ex-DTM, STW and Group N touring cars. A host of ex-professional racing drivers, including Alexander Burgstaller, Christian Danner, Hubert Haupt, Klaus Ludwig, Kurt Thiim, Gianfranco Brancatelli, Marc Hessel, Roland Asch, Olaf Manthey and Volker Strycek, started the 2017 season, some even in their own racing cars from the past.
It just remains to say: See you in Hockenheim!
