The new date for the Bosch Hockenheim Historic – The Jim Clark Revival has been set: This popular oldtimer event will now take place from 27 to 29 August 2021 at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. Given the pandemic situation, the decision was made at the end of March to abandon running the event in the first half of the year. The event was originally planned for the beginning of May. Following consultation with the participating racing series, a suitable alternative date for the sports event was set for the last weekend in August.

This slot in the calendar had become free due to the cancellation of the drag racing event NitrOlympX 2021, an inevitability due to its high cost structure and lack of security in terms of ticket revenue. For the Bosch Hockenheim Historic, the situation is a little different as it does not need much in the way of preparation measures on the motorsport side.

Hockenheim-Ring GmbH hopes that spectators will be permitted to attend the event; however, the dynamic regulatory situation does not allow for any binding statement to be made on this. Therefore, planning for the event is primarily focused on ensuring the smooth running of the races on the GP track.
