Racing Series 2026 Golden Ära Classic Cup

Porsche tradition meets Motodrom legend

The Golden Era Classic Cup makes a guest appearance at the Jim Clark Revival

When the Jim Clark Revival starts its engines as part of the ADAC Hockenheim Historic 2026, fans can look forward to a special highlight: the Golden Era Classic Cup will kick off its second season at the Hockenheimring. Following a successful debut year, the series brings an exclusive range of historically significant Porsche cars back onto the racetrack, providing a complete overview of the technical evolution of the Zuffenhausen-based brand.

The starting grid is divided into four separate divisions that bring motorsport history to life. In Division 1 (Classic), spectators will witness the birth of legends with classic 911 F and G models, the mid-engine classics 914, and the early transaxle models 924 and 944 Turbo. Division 2 (Aircooled Cup) is dedicated to the air-cooled Cup icons of the 1990s, such as the 964 Carrera Cup and the 993 Cup 3.8. Division 3 (Watercooled Cup) marks the transition to the modern era with the water-cooled generations of the 996 and 997 GT3 Cup. Finally, the series’ “powerhouses” can be found in Division 5 (Endurance), which is home to true endurance racing cars such as the 911 RSR, as well as spectacular VLN, IMSA and Le Mans cars.

The original cup cars in all divisions are complemented by contemporary conversions built to Group H regulations, as well as special cars entered on an invitation basis. This creates a particularly diverse and technically demanding field, which, as part of the high-calibre ADAC Hockenheim Historic programme, sends a clear signal of brand passion and authentic motorsport. Spectators can not only experience the cars in full flight in the Motodrom, but also get a close-up look at the technology in the paddock.
