As in previous years, the organisers are expecting widespread public interest over the three days of the 21st edition of this popular classic car event.

The racing series at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic are sure to delight every motorsport fan: Historic Racecar Association, Lurani Trophy, DMV Formula Vau, BOSS GP, Gebhardt Ginetta Nordic Championship, Velom Sportscar Supercup by Interwetten SCC, DRM Revival, Touring Car Golden Era, CLASS 1 Revival, Golden Era Classic Cup, and Raceclub Germany with specials such as races by Team FNT – there is something for every visitor to marvel at and experience.

Opel showcases motorsport icons on the pit roof
As well as the racing cars on the track, there are once again plenty of attractions to marvel at in the paddock. One of these is presented by a car manufacturer that has built up a huge fan base over more than a century – 127 years of motorsport, to be precise – and has a very special historical connection to the Hockenheimring: Opel.

At the ADAC Hockenheim Historic, no fewer than 17 racing and rally cars will be displayed on the pit roof, illustrating the success story of the brand with the lightning bolt: Leading the impressive line-up is the legendary Opel Calibra V6 4×4, in which Manuel Reuter won the ITC title in 1996. The oldest exhibit is a 12 hp racing car from 1903, whilst arguably the most spectacular is the ‘Rak2’ rocket car from 1928. Also on display are other DTM cars, including the 1989 Kadett GSi 16V, the 1991 Omega, Jeroen Bleekemolen’s Astra V8 Coupé and Heinz-Harald Frentzen’s Vectra V8 from the new DTM era starting in 2000. Opel bridges the gap to the modern era with the 281 hp Mokka GSE Rally, which will be used from this season onwards in the world’s first electric rally one-make cup, the ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup.

Special exhibition on Jim Clark and slot car racing
The event’s namesake takes centre stage.
