Twelve racing series featuring more than 500 cars from a wide variety of eras and categories will bring the glory of motor racing’s golden age back to life at the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg. Last year, more than 45,000 visitors flocked to the legendary circuit over the three days of the event to indulge in the visual and auditory delights of one of the continent’s biggest classic car events. They will not be disappointed at the 21st edition of the event from 8 to 10 May either. Whether Formula, touring or sports cars – every motorsport fan will get their money’s worth at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic.

New to the programme is a racing series now in its second season, dedicated to a brand that has shaped international sports car and GT racing for decades like no other: Porsche. The Golden Era Classic Cup provides a platform for the Zuffenhausen-based sports car manufacturer’s most competitive models. The field of entrants is divided into four divisions. Division 1 is the playground for the classic F and G model series of the Porsche 911, the mid-engined 914, and the early transaxle models 924 and 944. Division 2 is for the air-cooled 911s, whilst Division 3 is for the water-cooled 911s from the 996 model series onwards. The most powerful GT Porsches, such as the RSR, can be found in the Endurance Division. It is no coincidence that the Golden Era Classic Cup takes its name from the Golden Era touring car series. Behind both racing series is Ralph Bahr, one of the most active figures in the German classic car scene.

The other eleven racing series in the ADAC Hockenheim Historic are also packed with cars that have made racing history. Single-seater fans will be in their element with the Historic Racecar Association, the Lurani Trophy, DMV Formula Vau and BOSS GP. Sports car enthusiasts will enjoy the Velom Sportscar Supercup by Interwetten SCC and the Gebhardt Ginetta Nordic Championship. The DRM Revival, Touring Car Golden Era and CLASS ONE Revival are a treat for touring car fanatics. Raceclub Germany Historic presents a magnificent collection of historic formula and sports cars across two categories and has a special treat in store with Team FNT.

Exclusive access to the BOSS GP grid
For the first time, the BOSS GP racing series is offering the chance to experience the teams and their single-seaters – from Formula 1 and GP2 to Superleague Formula and Formula Renault – up close as they prepare for Saturday’s race. Holders of a valid Grid Walk ticket and a ticket for Saturday should meet at the RAVENOL House in the paddock. The BOSS GP grid walk takes place from 1.10 pm to 1.40 pm.

Numerous attractions in the ADAC Experience Zone
Visitors to the Jim Clark Revival are in for a treat even away from the 4.5-kilometre Grand Prix circuit. A must-visit is the ADAC Experience Zone by the East Stand, which can be easily reached via a free shuttle from the paddock. Europe’s largest motoring club, which has been the official title sponsor of the ADAC Hockenheim Historic for the past two years, presents a variety of attractions for young and old. At the heart of the Erlebniswelt is the large brand club area. More than 20 registered ADAC corporate clubs are showcasing around 800 automotive treasures. On Saturday evening, the ADAC is hosting a club evening. From 5 pm, live music will set the mood.

Copyright: ADAC Klassik

But that’s not all. Adrenaline junkies can experience gradients of up to 100 per cent in the passenger seat of a ‘Universal-Motor-Gerät’ from the Unimog Club Gaggenau on the course known as the ‘Iron Schröckl’. Anyone wishing to try their hand at the wheel can do so on the e-kart track or in the Formula 1 racing simulator. No one would want to experience a rollover in their own vehicle – but in the ADAC rollover simulator, it’s safe and harmless. A 30-metre-high crane offers a unique view of the entire Hockenheimring site.

The “Mechanic’s Corner” is all about fascinating automotive engineering and a genuine workshop atmosphere. The Stuttgart Police Museum is represented with its historic workshop vehicle and a 1982 police Porsche 944. The Stuttgart Motor Vehicle Guild is displaying an open VW Beetle chassis with an engine, where young mechanics can demonstrate their skills and show visitors how this classic car works. The area is rounded off by an ADAC breakdown mechanic and his original ADAC Roadside Assistance Golf I.

There’s plenty for the kids too: the large ADAC bouncy castle is sure to put a smile on their faces. In the craft corner, they can fold their own DTM helmet out of paper. Motorcycle fans aged between 6 and 14 can get a taste of the world of motorcycling at the ADAC Road Racing Academy, subject to prior registration.

Family-friendly admission prices
Admission on Friday costs €17, day tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost €39 and €34 respectively, and the weekend ticket costs €54. Naturally, these all include grandstand seating and paddock access. School pupils and students pay half price, whilst children under 14 and wheelchair users are admitted free of charge. Tickets for the Boss GP Grid Walk on Saturday are available for €20.

Tickets

Great anticipation for the 21st ADAC Hockenheim Historic from 8 to 10 May 2026 The Golden Era Classic Cup is…

[29

post-9292","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-announcements
["GET
