The Astur is an extremely rare Canadian Group 7, or CanAm, race car, of which only two or three examples were likely ever built. It was constructed in a semi-monocoque design, with both the chassis and bodywork made entirely of chrome steel, making it technically extraordinary.<\/p>\n

The car is powered by a five-liter Ford V8 engine with an open Weber carburetor setup, delivering impressive performance. This Astur is street-legal in both the United States and Canada and has competed in numerous races across North America, including at the Laguna Seca Raceway.<\/p>\n

This race car, built in 1994, comes with a current DMSB vehicle passport dated July 2024. For over three decades, it has been successfully campaigned in various racing series, proving itself as a powerful and reliable competition car.<\/p>\n

In the 2025 season, the car competes in the Sports Car Sprint Series as well as in various historic “Bergrennen” and the GLPpro. Technically, the car is up to the latest standards, both in terms of performance and safety equipment.<\/p>\n

The engine and transmission are as specified in the vehicle passport. It is equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged Subaru engine producing approximately 280 horsepower. With a weight of only 760 kilograms and a classic five-speed H-pattern gearbox, the car delivers impressive performance and an immediate, authentic driving experience.<\/p>\n
